Terms of Service

Last updated 10 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Indevo when you sell on Indevo, buy from a shop on Indevo, or use indevo.app. By using Indevo, you agree to them.

1 About Indevo

Indevo is a marketplace, not a retailer. Sellers run their own shops on Indevo and share links to them on social media. Buyers can shop from those links or browse every shop on indevo.app.
The seller is the legal seller of every product on Indevo. They own the stock, and every invoice is issued in the seller’s name. Indevo provides the platform, takes payments through a payment aggregator, and keeps only its fees and the taxes it must collect.

2 Your account

Sellers sign up with an email address and a password. Buyers sign in with their phone number and a one-time code.
One buyer sign-in works across indevo.app and every shop on Indevo. Your saved addresses and order history go with you, while each shop keeps its own cart.
Keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us at info@indevo.app if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 18 or over, or use Indevo with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

3 Selling on Indevo

You can build your shop and add products as soon as you sign up. To go live, you give us the details still missing and ask for approval. Nothing in your shop is public until Indevo approves it. We may approve, ask for changes, or decline.
To go live, you need:
  • A GSTIN, or a GST enrolment ID if you aren’t registered for GST.
  • A valid PAN.
  • A bank account, set up as your payout account with our payment aggregator.
  • A pickup address.
  • A verified email address.

4 Your tax status

If you sell with a GST enrolment ID, you can pick up from and deliver only within your own state. Checkout blocks delivery addresses outside it. This limit lifts once you add a GSTIN and it is verified.
Enrolment-ID sellers must stay under the GST registration threshold for goods (₹40 lakh a year, ₹20 lakh in some states). We warn you at 75% and 90%. At 100%, your shop stops taking new orders until you add a verified GSTIN. Open orders are still fulfilled.
We can’t yet onboard sellers on the GST composition scheme.

5 Your products and listings

Indevo is for physical goods only. You can’t sell services, experiences or digital goods.
Your listings must be accurate: what the product is, its condition, its variants, its stock and its price. Every price must include all taxes.
If you’re registered for GST, you declare each product’s HSN code and GST rate. Indevo may suggest a rate, but it never sets one, and you always confirm it. You’re responsible for the tax you charge.
Indevo may take down a product or a shop that breaks these terms or the law. Every takedown records its reason.

6 Your shop and its policies

Your handle is your shop’s name on Indevo. Handles are unique, and some names are reserved. If you rename your handle, links you’ve already posted keep working.
You set your own store policies, and buyers see them at checkout:
  • A return window, from none up to 30 days after delivery.
  • A shipping charge: free, or a flat fee.
  • How late a buyer may cancel: not at all, until you accept the order, until it’s packed, or until it’s shipped.
  • Return shipping: free, or a flat fee taken off the refund.

7 Handling returns

Every shop accepts reports of damaged or wrong items within 48 hours of delivery, even with a no-returns policy. You can’t switch this off, and the buyer never pays to send those items back.
You approve or reject each return request or damage report with a reason. Anything you leave unanswered for 48 hours is approved automatically. A buyer can escalate a rejection to us as a grievance.

8 Payments, fees and payouts

Buyers pay upfront through an RBI-authorised payment aggregator, currently Razorpay. Indevo never holds buyer money in its own account. Your share of each order is held at the payment aggregator until it is paid out to you or reversed for a refund.
From each order, we deduct:
  • Indevo’s commission, set per shop by Indevo. It is 0% unless we set it.
  • GST at 18% on Indevo’s own fees, such as commission.
  • TCS of 0.5% of net taxable sales, for GST-registered sellers only.
  • TDS of 0.1% of gross sales, for every seller, with the exemptions the law allows.
  • For courier pickups we book, the actual courier cost plus 18% GST.

9 When you get paid

Each order is paid out after your shop’s return window closes, and never earlier than 48 hours after delivery. You can see a statement for every order showing each deduction, and download your TCS and TDS certificates.
Each order keeps the terms shown at checkout. If you change a policy or we change your commission, the change applies only to orders placed after it.
If a buyer must be refunded after your payout, we refund them at once. You settle it by paying directly or from your next payouts. If it is still unsettled after 30 days, your shop stops taking new orders until it is.

10 Buying from a shop

You buy from the seller, not from Indevo. Every price you see includes all taxes. The shop’s shipping charge is added at checkout.
You pay upfront. There is no cash on delivery. Each shop has its own cart, and each checkout is one payment and one order for that shop.
Your order is confirmed once our payment aggregator confirms your payment. We hold your items for 15 minutes from the start of checkout. If an item still sells out before your payment completes, we refund you for it automatically.
The shop’s policies are shown at checkout, and your order keeps them even if the shop changes them later. You can download your invoice from your orders.

11 Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel an order up to the point the shop’s policy allows. A cancellation is refunded in full, automatically, with no fee.
You can ask to return items within the shop’s return window after delivery. If the shop charges for return shipping, that fee is taken off your refund.
At every shop, you can report a damaged or wrong item within 48 hours of delivery, with photos. Sending these back is always free for you.
Refunds go back to your original payment method through our payment aggregator. If a seller rejects your return, you can escalate it to our Grievance Officer.

12 Shipping

Each order ships one of two ways. Either Indevo books a courier pickup for the seller, or the seller ships it their own way and records the courier and tracking number.
For pickups we book, your pincode is checked at checkout to make sure the courier delivers there.

13 AI features

We plan to offer AI features for sellers, such as photo clean-up, listing and reply drafts, sales reports, suggestions, and HSN code and GST rate suggestions.
Anything these features produce is a suggestion. Check it before you use it. You’re responsible for what you publish or send, including product details, prices, tax rates and messages to buyers.

14 Acceptable use

When you use Indevo, you must not:
  • Break any law, or help anyone else break one.
  • Sell anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen, unsafe or restricted, such as weapons, drugs, or hazardous goods.
  • List products you don’t have the right to sell, or use content that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Mislead buyers about a product, its price or your shop’s policies.
  • Place fake orders, misuse returns, or abuse refunds.
  • Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else’s account.
  • Interfere with Indevo’s security, scrape or copy it at scale, or try to access data that isn’t yours.
  • Use buyer data for anything other than fulfilling their orders.

15 Intellectual property

Indevo’s name, logo, website, apps and software belong to Indevo. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.
Sellers keep ownership of their own photos, product descriptions, logos and other content. By adding it to Indevo, you let us show it on your shop, on indevo.app, and in link previews, and use it to promote your shop on Indevo. You confirm you have the right to do so.

16 Our responsibility to you

As a marketplace, Indevo isn’t the seller of any product. The seller is responsible for the product, its description, its quality and its delivery under their store policies.
We work to keep Indevo running smoothly, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Indevo isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under Indian law, or any liability that can’t be limited by law.

17 Indemnity

If you sell on Indevo, you agree to cover Indevo for any claims, losses and costs that arise from your products, your listings, your tax declarations, or your breach of these terms or the law.

18 Changes and ending your account

We may update these terms as Indevo or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you before it takes effect. Orders already placed keep the terms shown at checkout.
A seller can close their account from the seller app once every open order is fulfilled or refunded. Their shop and products are then hidden, posted links show “This store has closed”, and the handle is retired for good.
A buyer can ask us to delete their account once no order is still open. In both cases, we keep order and tax records as the law requires.
We may suspend or close an account, or take down a shop or product, if it breaks these terms or the law. We record the reason.

19 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

20 Grievance redressal

Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, you can raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, including a seller’s rejection of your return. Write to: Grievance Officer, Indevo, at grievance@indevo.app.
We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.
